Livres d'artistes are a unique catagory of illustrated books. Originating in france during the earlt 20th Century, these books are noteworthy because "each illustration is an original work executed by the artist directly on the support (stone, wood,metal,linoleum,etc.) from which it is printed."

I feel it is important that everyone be responsible for their own actions and deeds in this world. If everyone signed their name to whatever work they did, perhaps the quality and thought that went into their projects might be better, more honest and more of what it was intended to be in the first place. However, as simple and obvious as this statement is this basic thought has long left the majority of the population.

Conversely, since ArtMavn.com has my name attached to it, ArtMavn.com must be a place where indivigual art lovers can go to experience the fine artwork that was created by accomplished artists who I can vouch for. In these days of enhanced technology, finding quality work that was created by genuine artisans is not an easy task.

So there you have it, my name, my experience and my reputation that stands behind "all of the Art" I represent.
